Our Story
Eighty Eight Outfitters was created to honor the incredible legacy of Wesley Ryan Hayes — a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose unwavering faith, southern roots, and love for the outdoors touched countless lives. On October 1, 2024, Wesley’s earthly journey was tragically cut short by a drunk driver, leaving behind a young wife and infant daughter.
In the midst of immense heartbreak, Olivia Hayes, Wesley’s wife, felt a divine calling to share his story and continue his mission. Guided by God's purpose, she founded Eighty Eight Outfitters as a way to celebrate Wesley’s life and the values he held dear: faith, artistry, and the beauty of the great outdoors. This brand is more than a tribute—it is a ministry inspired by Wesley’s passion for living boldly and authentically, while sharing the goodness of the Lord, even through tragedy.
Wesley always dreamed of using his God-given talents to make an impact on the world, and though he had begun doing so in both his personal and professional life, his time to see his dreams through, was cut short. He had incredible talent, and many gifts left to share. Taking the brainstorming sessions and conversations about the ideas he had; Olivia has made it her mission to be the vessel to make his dreams a reality.
At Eighty Eight Outfitters, our hope is that every individual who wears our apparel is led to live life to the fullest, always seeking the next adventure, while inspiring you to draw closer to the Lord. Our collections are released in limited edition drops, each one inspired by faith, legacy, and the outdoors. We announce upcoming launches, restocks, and behind-the-scenes stories primarily through our social media and VIP email list—so if you want early access, that’s where to be. While many of our products are exclusive and only available for a short time, we also keep a collection of staple items in stock year-round for those who want to wear the brand every day.

New Collection!
The Story Behind the Freedom & Faith Collection
Wesley had a deep love for all things red, white, and blue. From decorating the house for the Fourth of July to proudly flying the American flag, he carried a strong admiration for the country and the values it was built on. Each year, he added new patriotic buntings to the porch and had an ever-growing collection of USA-themed gear — his enthusiasm for America was unmatched.
The inspiration for this collection, though, goes deeper than patriotism. One ordinary day, Wesley was doing yard work when he calmly told his wife, “I hear an eagle.” Sure enough, not long after, two bald eagles and a brown eagle appeared, perched high in the trees near their home. He hadn’t seen them — but he knew they were there.
That moment, paired with Isaiah 40:31 — “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles” — became the foundation for this line. It’s not just about honoring Wesley’s love for America; it’s about honoring his unwavering faith, his connection to God’s creation, and the way he trusted in what couldn’t always be seen.
Freedom & Faith is a tribute to that spirit — bold, faithful, and rooted in something far greater.

I met the legacy of this brand, Wes, at some point in my high school years. If I had to describe him in one single word, it would be "personal", and that's how I feel every time I put on one of my Eighty Eight Outfitter pieces. It's so much more than throwing on a hat to cover your unwashed hair (LOL) or putting on a shirt and running out the door. These QUALITY pieces make me pause every time I grab them. They force me to slow down. They make me realize that life is short and beautiful, and God is good and faithful. If I look down and see the infamous Wesley duck on my shirt or pass a mirror and catch a glimpse of my Eighty Eight hat that I put on to attempt to hide myself from the public, I'm reminded to be more like him. Don't hide, show up and show up big and loud and unapologetically YOU. I'm reminded to shine God's light, to be a friend to everyone I cross paths with (and talk their heads off :), and to leave the world a better place than it was before.

At Eighty Eight Outfitters, we stand behind the quality of our products and the heart behind our brand. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to make it right.
Returns & Exchanges
Eligibility: Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
Condition: Products must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition.
Exclusions: Final sale items, limited edition drops, and custom products are not eligible for return or exchange.
Store Credit Only: All approved returns will be issued as store credit.
How to Start a Return or Exchange
Email us at eightyeightoutfitters@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return.
We’ll review your request and provide a response within 2 business days.
Once we receive your return, you’ll be issued store credit via email within 5–7 business days.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or we made a mistake with your order.
If your return is approved due to a quality issue or fulfillment error on our part, we’ll provide a prepaid return label.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or with a defect, please email us with photos and your order number. We’ll gladly send a replacement or issue store credit.
